The Best of Universal Orlando

So youve done walt disney world and now youre ready to discover Universal Orlando. But where to start? Universal Orlando is a whopper of a destination composed of exceptional resorts, first-rate restaurants, and two theme parks offering a certain brand of high-speed intensity certain to please. Here are some of Universals best experiences:

Best Deluxe Resort

For the height of luxury in a Mediterranean seaside setting head straight for this exclusive hotel designed to resemble Italys idyllic seaside town of Portofino. The scenery is pure postcard with colorful fishing boats bobbing in the seductively curving bay, sun-bleached stucco buildings with shuttered windows and trompe loeil decorative facades, and a charming, waterside piazza loaded with appetizing restaurants. Guestrooms are large and luxurious with four-poster beds, luxe linens, down pillows, and a pile of other amenities that cant be beat.

Best Resort For the Utterly Cool

Hard Rocks motto is love all, serve all and serve they certainly do at the single coolest place in florida to hang out in California hip style. Its a mix of pure luxury and star worship where an ultra slick marble lobby, a marvelous pool complex, and stylish guestrooms are interspersed with over one million dollars worth of rock and roll memorabilia and rock music blasting away in every public space; over 900 speakers are scattered throughout the property, all running seven days a week, 24 hours a day. But rest assured, from the moment you enter the hallways leading to your trendy guestroom, only beautiful silence is heard.

Best Resort pool

Hard Rocks 12,000 foot zero-entry pool is almost too hip to handle. It comes with an underwater sound system and a 250-foot slide (the longest at any U.S. hotel), all surrounded by a sand beach and swaying palm trees. For the ultimate in luxury, rent a poolside cabana equipped with lounge chairs, TV, telephone, fax line, refrigerator, and ceiling fan. You can even order up your own private masseuse.

Best Resort Lounge

It depends. The hip crowd should head to Velvet, Hard Rock Hotels so cool cocktail lounge offering a huge list of specialty martinis and premium cigars along with rock and roll, chic seating, and a great outdoor terrace with a view of the resorts pool. Those with a more sophisticated inclination will love Bar America at Portofino Bay Hotel where a pianist entertains a fashionable crowd feasting on Beluga caviar and fine wine in an elegant setting.

Best attractions For Thrill Seekers

Universal Orlando is the perfect place for those who crave a rush of adrenaline. And the best park for thrills is Universals newest, islands of Adventure. Head first to the Incredible Hulk coaster where youre launched from a near standstill to 40 mph in 2 seconds, then immediately into a zero-G dive roll looping through inversion after inversion and twice underground before coming to a halt. Then take a ride on Dueling Dragons, the worlds first inverted, dueling (theres two of them), near-miss coasters. At certain points during the ride youll swear your dangling feet almost touch those of the opposite dragon as it goes roaring by.

Best Way to Spend an Evening Without the Kids

first check the children into one of the Universal resorts excellent child care centers. Then head to either Emerils at Citywalk, a classy spot reminiscent of the New Orleans warehouse district with intoxicating Creole/Cajun food or Tchuop Chop at Universals Royal Pacific Resort, one of the most beautiful restaurants in Orlando serving innovative Asian/Polynesian fare. Afterward dance the night away at Universals Citywalk. Buy a Party pass for unlimited admission to all the nightclubs and enjoy!

Best Resort restaurant

Its a toss up. Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific Resort for its breathtakingly beautiful dining room and imaginative cuisine or Delfino Riviera, Portofino Bay Hotels stylish and sophisticated Italian restaurant perched above the piazza overlooking the bay.

Best Way to Spend an Afternoon Away From the parks

Immerse yourself in luxury with one or two soothing spa treatments at Portofino Bays Mandara Spa. Choose from a variety of massage, face, anti-aging, and body treatments including Indonesian four hands massage and Javanese Lulur. Follow this with an afternoon lazing beside one of the resorts three luxurious pools.

5 Keys To Good Colon Health

1. Herbal Support for the Colon Muscles
Many people have constipation or partial constipation. Partial constipation is where you do not have as many bowel movements a day as meals you eat. In other words, if you eat 3 times a day you would expect to have 3 bowel movements a day. Having this many bowel movements is often not usual; but it is 'normal'.

To enable this, 'colon cleansing' is often used. A herbal formula is by far the best and easiest way to achieve 3 regular bowel movements a day. The top herbal formula, proven by tens of thousands of people who have used it, is one based on the original formula of the renowned Dr John Christopher. Dr Christopher taught naturopathy and herbalism in America in the 70s and 80s. His formula is fantastic and many slightly different versions exist, some of which credit Dr Christopher and some of which don't!

His herbal formula is based on the herb cascara sagrada (Rhamnus purshiana) supported by 6 or 7 other herbs, including fennel, cayenne pepper, barberry and ginger. It needs to be taken every single day, not just occasionally. (Though sometimes '6 days a week' is recommended, and this is fine.)

2. Fibre and A Good Diet
The second requirement for good bowel function is lots of fibre in the diet. This is most easily achieved by eating lots and lots of vegetables. Brown rice and whole wheat and other whole grains are also high in fibre. When using a cascara-based formula as above, the formula is often supplemented with Psyllium Husks. These are the outer casing of a seed of the Plantago variety, which provide lubricating fibre which absorb water and swell up. This is why you must drink extra water when using Psyllium. Psyllium helps to bulk up the stool making it easier to pass along the bowel. It is wise to drink around 2 litres of water daily anyway, for good health and to achieve soft stools.

3. friendly Bacteria - Acidophilus et al
Many people have a deficiency of 'friendly bacteria'. Bacteria are present in large amounts in the bowel, and in the stool. The 'wrong type' of bacteria, the 'unfriendly bacteria' easily take over in the the bowel so to achieve good bowel health it is helpful if the friendly types are supplemented. These include acidophilus bacteria. The best supplements contain additional types of friendly bacteria too. The best contain patented strains of these which are hardy enough to survive the journey through the stomach to the bowel.

4. Regular exercise
Exercising the abdominal area is important to good bowel health. Vigorous exercise such as racket games which involve stooping and yoga exercises are usually helpful.

5. Calm Nerves
Bowel health is greatly affected by the nervous system. Poor nerves and stress often lead to inflammatory bowel conditions such as diverticulitis, colitis and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).

The answer is in steadily building the nerves (eg with herbs or homoeopathy) and learning to relax more. One powerful route to relaxation is through regular meditation .

Using herbs, there are 3-month herbal programmes available which help build the nerves and the adrenal glands, which are important to boost nerve health.

Cool Climate

Given that it will rain, on average, 3 days a week and the average golfer will play at least one round of golf a week, you can reasonably assume that youre going to be spending some time playing in the wet, or the wind, or the cold. Or all three. So you need rain gear thats up to the challenge.

But if you forget about the terms waterproof, windproof, breathable for just a moment theres one other basic criteria that all rain gear should fulfil: it has to be comfortable.

Your rain gear can be made of the fanciest techno-fabric on the market, but if all youre thinking about is how its chafing under the arms, or its too tight across the back, how it rustles when you walk and screams when you swing, then you can be guaranteed that your mind is not where it should be: on your game.

And heres where outerwear manufacturers have really excelled. not only have they created waterproof fabrics that breathe like a second skin they move like a second skin as well.

And not only is the fabric itself supple enough to accommodate a golfers every move, but thankfully someone, somewhere has put a lot of thought into the actual construction or design of modern golf wet-wear.

As a result, when shopping for your ideal rain suit youll come across all sorts of nifty features like articulated knees to aid movement of your legs, stretch mesh lining for extra flexibility, and panels of super-stretch waterproof fabric across the back to help your swing flow without restriction.

Lets face it: the best kind of wet weather wear is the kind that you can almost forget you are wearing. That way you can focus on whats really important instead of worrying about the weather or feeling that you have to rush your shots to finish your round before the heavens open.
