Microsofts Xbox 360 vs. The Sonys Playstation 3

microsoft has tried to catch up with some of the titans of the gaming world, such as Sony with the release of the xbox 360. The xbox 360 offers many new features that players will love:

Free limited subscription to online gaming - This allows players who have not been participating in online gaming a chance to see what is available at no charge. All xbox 360s come with live-aware - This means you can get a friend invite or see who is online and what they are playing from your xbox 360. The button in the middle of the controller makes all this very easy.

It offers great media features including listening to music while you play games, the ability to create custom playlists and your own custom soundtracks, the ability to rip songs from original CDs to your xbox 360 and stream music from your MP3 player to your xbox 360. You can also create slideshows of photos to share with friends and family. xbox 360 has a wireless controller. No more tripping over the wires, although it can support two wired controllers through USB ports in the front. The game console is not only great for gamers, but developers as well. It is a powerful machine with an unprecedented amount of RAM - a feature added on the request of developers.

But, xbox 360 still has some problems that need to be worked out:

Their japanese third party support is lacking - While some japanese developers offer software for the xbox, it is small in number when compared to what the same developers offer for Playstation. While the controller is wireless, it eats batteries rather quickly. Standard alkaline batteries only last about thirty hours, so if you buy xbox 360, invest in rechargeable batteries to save yourself some money in the end. When they were set up in WalMart stores before days before the launch, many suffered what is known as the xbox "360 screen of death," an error screen. The xbox 360 had also had some problems with overheating. Some report the xbox 360 system as being very noisy when playing an xbox 360 disc.

Many people are eagerly awaiting the release of Playstation 3, which may occur as soon as November of this year. It has been said that the Playstation 3 has an outward feel (which allows it to stand vertically or horizontally on its own), as opposed to the xbox 360's inward feel. It is a much larger console than the Playstation 2 and closer to the original size of the xbox. Game discs slide into the console like CDs slide into a car player.

Here are a few attractive features of the Playstation 3:

It is always on, so you can access your Playstation 3 from anywhere as long as you have an Internet connection. With a Playstation portable, you can connect to your Playstation 3 and transfer media such as music and movies. The Playstation 3 appears to be much more powerful than that xbox 360, Ninetindo Revolution, and Playstation 2. Initial reports say it will be twice as fast as the xbox 360. Developers and publishers of over 230 games have announced titles for Playstation 3 games.

Here are a few reported cons and problems with the Playstation 360:

Comes with only 256 MB, less than the 512 MB the xbox 360 will come with. Their Playstation Network Platform (the online service) is still in development and may not be ready by the time Playstation 3 is released.

The launch of the Playstation 3 has already been delayed due to disk problems.

Both the xbox 360 and Playstation 3 are incredible gaming consoles. It seems that although the xbox 360 came out first, the best bet is still the Playstation 3. The strongest point of the Xbox 360 is its online functionality, but Sony may be working on something similar to Xbox live right now. However, microsoft is closing the gap with Xbox 360 and probably will eventually catch up with Sony in gaming consoles. For some users, it may come down to something as simple as which one is more compatible with the games they already own.

Why Not Stay On A Golf Resort For Your Holiday?

Many people that look for holidays in Spain are now booking it all themselves. Flight, apartment, villa or farmhouse and car hire. There has been an increase in this type of holidaymaker in recent years; almost 30% of all holidays to Spain are now DIY. Too many visitors are fed up with returning home from their package holiday with illness and complaints about the hotel or the package holiday company.

So what sort of property is being sought after by this growing multitude of DIY holidaymakers? The range is massive. Depending on size of the group travelling they could be staying in 4 or 5 bedroom villas, 3 bedroom apartments or in rustic farmhouses that have been renovated.

But what has all this got to do with golf resorts? For some reason non-golfers tend to stay away from booking a holiday on a golf resort. Yet they offer a great selection of accommodation; from villas and townhouses to apartments; from one bedroom to 6 bedrooms. Many of the resorts are not far from the beaches. The vast majority of people that book a DIY holiday also rent a car so getting around is much easier. Most of the golf courses are within a ten minute drive from the beach. Many of the properties are cheaper than beach-side properties. Some of course are more expensive, particularly penthouse apartments in the Marbella and Puerto Banus area. But like anywhere, generally speaking the more you pay the higher the quality of the accommodation and the golf resort.

Listed here are just a few of the numerous golf resorts in Southern Spain. Stretching from near Gibraltar in the west to Denia in the east. Most offer facilities other than golf so the non golfer can have an equally great stay as the golfer. To the west of the Costa del Sol is Costa Esuri Golf Resort. A magnificent new resort that offers a host of activities. With the Portuguese and Spanish Algarve close by what a great place to stay.

Los Arqueros Golf Resort is only 10 minutes from Marbella. It was the first golf course to be designed by Severiano Ballesteros. They offer a whole range of activities other than golf. Including saunas, gym, tennis, swimming pools, restaurant etc. Los Naranjos in Nuevas Andalucia near Marbella is one of Spains best golf courses. world famous golf course architect Robert Trent jones Sr. Los Naranjos offers very similar facilities to Los Arqueros. Some properties can be viewed via the other links.

Further along the coast in Almeria and the Costa Blanca prices can be a little less, both in terms of green fees for the golfer and property rates for the general holidaymaker. Again most of the resorts in this area are only a short drive to the beaches. Almeria, Valle del Este golf Resort Costa Blanca, Mosa Trojectum - Villa.

Villamartin and las Ramblas golf resorts are well established resorts catering for everyone not just golfers.

Staying on a golf resort also opens up many others opportunities to do things apart from the beach every day. As many of them are a little inland they offer incite into life away from the beach. A short drive in any direction apart from towards the sea will find you in a small village with its quant little bars. Staying on a golf resort can offer an opportunity explore parts of Spain that far too many are unfamiliar with. Remember you DO NOT have to be a golfer to stay on a golf resort. BUT if you are, many of the owners can arrange your golf for you, sometimes at reduced rates.

I hope that this short article will offer some of you considering a DIY holiday to Spain to perhaps consider staying on a golf resort for a change. You never know you might even give golf a try! Enjoy your stay where ever you visit.

There are many properties available if you want to look for something just click on one of the above links. golf resorts covered on the web site: Los Arqueros, Los Naranjos, Mijas, Alhaurin, Miraflores, Esuri, Sotogrande, La Qunita, La Reserva de Marbella, Riviera del Sol, La Cala, Los Jardines de Santa Maria golf, Selwo hills, Aloha Gardens Resort, Valderama, Ribera del rio, El Saladillo, Valle del Este, Alboran, Los Altos, Playa Gol, La Finca, La Manga, Mosa Trajectum, las Ramblas, Villamartin, Playa Serena, La Torre, Oliva Nova Golf, La Sella

My business is an internet based property rental site. running for 6 years now it is one of the more popular rental sites for Southern Spain advertisers. I am always seeking ways of advising owners on how best to market their property here in Spain. It is in my interests as well as theirs that their property does well on my web site. Please take time out to look at it http://www.rentinspain.co.uk

6 Powerful Ways to Solve Communication Problems at Work

Is your organization suffering from severe communication problems? Someone once said that "communication is the lifeblood of an organization" - and it truly is. An organization that is experiencing a breakdown in communication will not live for very long because many problems will crop up and eventually cause the organization to die a natural death.

If your organization is experiencing communication problems, you must do what you can to resolve these as soon as possible. The life of your organization is at stake.

How do you know if your organization is experiencing communication problems? There are 12 possible signs that you should look out for:

1) You find it hard to get some people to cooperate.

2) Some people are being left out of the communication loop.

3) Replies to messages are being delayed or completely ignored.

4) Groups in the organization are failing to reach their goals.

5) Mistakes are cropping up more and more often.

6) people are resorting more to criticism and placing the blame on other people.

7) Morale of teams is going down.

8) Productivity is dull or at zero level.

9) You receive many complaints.

10) Moments of conflict result in expressions of anger.

11) There is significant employee turnover.

12) Business is going to your competitors instead of to you.

If you find that there are some or many (if not all) of these warning signs present in your organization, it is advisable for you to take steps to address such problems before they kill your organization.

How does one correct or resolve such problems? There are different steps to take to counter the prevalence of communication problems in organizations.

1) first, listen to the people involved or who have caused the communication problem in the first place. Doing so allows you to uncover the depth, nature and roots of the communication problem for that particular group of people.

2) If the problems are quite vast and have deeply-rooted causes, you may want to secure the help of a neutral negotiator. This third party may be able to get inside the problem more thoroughly than an insider because when communication problems crop up, the group involved may choose to clam up or point fingers rather than admit to their role in creating the problem.

3) To maintain confidentiality, it is possible to use a tool such as a survey. people who might be scared to tell the truth because of reprisals would then have another safer option compared to coming out of the crowd.

4) After you have uncovered the problem and its roots, you may choose to initiate group counseling or training. The point of this is to address the problem of the group, rather than focusing on just one person. Finger-pointing is avoided. The saying "united we stand, divided we fall" should become the motto of the group.

5) It is important for the leader to have great communication skills so that communication problems can be resolved. Communication skills are required to diagnose communication problems, and naturally, provide the necessary solutions. Leaders who lack adequate communication skills might benefit from more training in communication.

6) Do your research - perhaps the communication problem you are experiencing now has occurred before in the history of the organization. And perhaps someone knows the solution that could work now. So look inwards into the heart of the organization, ask around, and you may find the way to properly address your organization's communication problems.

Remember, if your organization is already suffering communication problems, don't wait for these symptoms to get worse. Good communication is necessary for an organization to function properly and stay viable amidst the influx of a multitude of challenges from the environment. Act immediately on communication problems and stem the bleeding of your organization.

How to Travel Budget

We all want to save money and our vacations are no different. In order to save money on any aspect of your vacation you need to learn how to travel budget. It is not difficult to travel budget. The hardest, yet most important part is sticking to your budget. When you develop a travel budget, you can literally see the world for less.

If you take your time, use the many available resources and start planning early, you could save a great deal of money on renting cars, gasoline, airline tickets, hotel rooms and even the main attractions of your destination.

Learning to travel budget is simple. All you have to do is outline the money you have to spend versus how you want to spend it and on what. The first thing you should do is sit down at your computer or use the trusty old pen and paper to make a list. The list should include the following:

* Household monthly income plus your holiday allowance/13th check amount

* Household savings if any

* Household Monthly Expenses (Electricity, Telephone, Gas, water, Garbage/Sewer

* Personal Expenses (gasoline to and from work daily, food, hygienic needs, etc.)

Once you have gotten this together, you will add your household monthly income and savings together. Then subtract the expenses. The total that is left is the amount you have to work with. Of course, credit cards help a great deal when it comes to traveling, however, you will not want to spend more than you can afford at any point. Remember you always have to pay for the convenience of a credit card!

after you have figured out your travel budget, you can begin to plan your vacation. It is important that you stick with this budget at all times. Failure to stick within your travel budget, could result in financial difficulties. When looking for deals, the internet can be your best friend. Many travel agencies, hotels, car rentals, and airlines create internet only deals.

Another key point in finding the hottest deals is to consider the time of the year you are vacationing, where you are vacationing and when you begin planning your vacation. These all affect your travel budget.

For example, let us say you plan to take your family to walt disney world in April.

Places such as Disney world have different prices for specific times of the year. In other words, during peak season you will pay more for tickets and hotels in the area than you would during off peak seasons.

When creating your travel budget take these things into consideration, you may be better off hitting the worlds most magical place in November.
